Owner & Head Coach
Helping Athletes and Active Individuals Move, Perform, and Recover Better
MaryEllen Adegbite is the head coach and owner of Movement with Purpose, specializing in sports performance and exercise therapy for athletes and active individuals of all levels. With over 13 years of coaching experience and 18 years as a competitive athlete, MaryEllen brings a results-driven, science-backed approach to every session.
Her training philosophy centers around intentional movement, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development. Whether working with Junior Olympic athletes, professionals, post-surgical patients, or aging adults looking to regain function, she tailors every program with precision and care.
MaryEllen holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Exercise Therapy Specialist. She has completed a 40-hour internship under Dr. Paul M. Salinas, D.C., CCSP, and continues to learn under the mentorship of doctors of physical therapy. Additional credentials include USA Track & Field Level 2 Coach, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, and USA Boxing Coach. She’s also a former Equinox Tier 3 Trainer. She 's currently is an assistant track coach at Molloy University.
MaryEllen’s mission is to help clients move better, get stronger, recover smarter, and perform at their highest potential, whether that’s on the field, in the ring, or in everyday life.
